## Statement

At the working vacuum Jvac = diag(ϕ,1,ϕ⁻¹), the Jordan determinant is det Jvac = 1.

## Caution

Unit determinant alone does not select the golden spectrum; Appendix E uses it as a normalization hypothesis.

## Primary source

Paper 1, §3, Roman-surface paragraph: vacuum adjoint, PDF p.26: "The vacuum Jvac = diag(ϕ, 1, ϕ−1 ) satisfies Jvac # = diag(ϕ−1 , 1, ϕ) = J −1 (Jordan inverse), consistent vac with det Jvac = 1."
