## Statement

PREMISE-UNIT-RESPONSE would impose |λµ| = √2, whereas DECLINED imposes no quotient-tier response-isometry premise and leaves |λµ| ≤ √2 with one continuous magnitude; neither alternative was adopted.

## Caution

Neither alternative enters the physical spectral-pair gate, and declining an isometry premise does not fix the response to zero.
