Internal exactness answers “what follows after these objects and conventions have been given?” Physical prediction also asks why a particular object, normalization and readout must be used. The Gram determinant, a dimension ratio, an elementary block weight and a normalized generator are different objects even when their constants are algebraically related.

The norm-shorthand control is especially useful: it strengthens the proof organization without changing the final mismatch value. The mismatch follows from a Gram product; equality of the two norms is an additional property of the selected reciprocal spectrum.
